Kayak Tour
We offer a 1,5 hr kayak tour when the conditions are very good (approx. 100 days a year) between Sep and May. If you are lucky enough to join us on one of these tours, it will be one of your most memorable experiences in Cape Town.
Pricing:
- South Africans: R450 pp.
- Non South Africans: R500 pp.
- Kids: R350 pp.
- Private tours: R750 pp. (min of 4 pax).
- (we charge a bit more during peak season (14 Dec 2024 - 02 Feb 2025).

How to book on the best day
When you book a kayaking adventure with us, we want to take you on the best possible day weather wise. We typically only kayak 120 days of the year. With modern technology we get a basic idea of what the weather is going to do 7 days in advance and a good idea 4 days in advance.
If you are looking to book for the next few days:
- we suggest that you first whats app us to ask which the best days are for kayaking.
If you are looking to book far in advance:
- we suggest that you book kayaking for the first few days of your visit so that there is flexibility to move the booking if the weather is not suitable on your chosen day. You can also WhatsApp us a few days before you arrive in Cape Town to check on the weather and adjust your booking if necessary.

Kayak Rental
A day at the beach is an ideal outing that does not cost much and provide great quality time and memories. When the South Easter is howling all over Cape Town, there is a good chance that Clifton is still wind free until mid afternoon.
At Kayak Clifton we provide the kayaks, paddles and Portable Floating Devices (PFD’s). For small kids we have Life Jackets that fit little one’s right down to 3 kgs. We will also give you a waterproof cell phone case to use so that you can take your some photos and videos of the trip.
Pricing:
-Adults: R150 per hour.
-Teenagers (<18 years): R100 per hour.
-Kids (<13 years): R75 per hour.
Please note:
-You are not able to pre book a kayak to rent. We simply work on a first-come-first-serve basis when doing rentals.
– The pricing is per person and not per kayak.
– You are not allowed to switch the people kayaking. Everyone needs to pay for themselves.
-We only do rentals on days when the weather is nice AND the beach is busy enough to make it worth our while.
-During the not so busy season, we suggest that you first check with us on WhatsApp whether we are on the beach.
